Calculating tipping percentage accurately after customer has made partial prepayment.

So here is my scenario.  I have a birthday party venue with birthday party packages.  We take deposits on our website to secure tables, dates, times, etc.  The deposit is a partial payment of the total birthday package.  The people buying the package pay the remaining balance the day of the party.  Whenever they pay, we have a tipping option (usually 10, 15, 20%) but the tipping amount is calculated based on the remaining balance instead of the WHOLE package.  How do I get it to calculate the tipping percentage based of the whole package (what they have already paid + what they owe) instead of just what they owe?

Example:  Say a package is $100.  They make a deposit of $50.  They owe $50 the day of their party. When they pay the $50 the tipping is calculated 10%=$5.00, 15%= $7.50, and 20%=$10.  I want the tipping calculated based off $100 (10%= $10, 15%=$15, 20%=$20)

I tried using a discount.  I put $100 in and use a $50 discount but it still only offers the tipping on the remaining amount.

Hi again @skateman81.  Unfortunately, you are stuck with this right now.

However, another seller submitted a feature request that addresses this, and other, suggested top issues. So I strongly recommend that you follow this link and upvote/like it, as well as a comment about your specific real -world case. Just state what you above. Other sellers have done so, with at least one mentioning deposits. But there can never be too many voices for a great idea like this one.
