I am a bookseller with several authors. I want buttons for each author. When I click a button, I want to see each of that author's titles and select the one that is being sold. How do I set this up? Any help is appreciated.

The basic way is to set up categories/sub categories and list your authors as categories, with their books within. You can setup your POS grid screen to show specific items, but I am not sure if the grid can display categories.
