Big Commerce and Square

Anyone else having major issues with the BC and Square product syncing connection? 

 

We have used this connection for the past 4 years.  Occasionally, it will go down for about 6 hours then start working again. Three weeks ago it stopped working for us completely.  Big Commerce told me to install the Square App version 2, it zeroed out all our product prices!

 

Here is the response I received via email April 24th:

Thanks for the prompt response! 

This is obviously not working, and so I am linking this case to the Engineering task. Should you see that this gets "Solved" by our Engineers, but you still have issues, please follow up with us. There should be an update pushing out for the app in a few days/weeks, and so you may see traction really soon.

Again, I apologize for all of the hoops you jumped through, and for the lack of insight from our camp. You should see some new information soon!

I've called Big Commerce several times since...they are looking into the issue.  They are also telling me it is a huge problem for everyone right now.

 

I've also had a discussion with Square and haven't reached a solution. Any valuable info would be appreciated.  I'm so frustrated!

I had to stop using Square because of this issue, and we are a high volume store.  After we stopped using them I did not hear a word from anyone at Square which was very disappointing considering our fees including processing was around $4k per month. 

 

Switching to Vend has been the best decision I have made in a long time.  Highly recommend it!  It's much more affordable and they allow you to use different credit card processors at a much more affordable rate, not to mention a super easy way to conduct inventory.

Hey! Thanks so much for posting and sharing what worked for you. That is really helpful. As far as the trouble with keeping BigCommerce connected, I'm really sorry to read all the trouble you had with that. I would feel so frustrated as well.

 

We are more than happy to help in any way we can on the Seller Community, but we are limited to the access we have to BigCommerce issues. Although Square integrates with BigCommerce to process payments, all API functions are operated and managed by them directly. For help with BigCommerce specific questions, you’ll need to visit their Support site or their Community Forums.

I hope this helps get you on the right path, @tce, but if you decide to move from Vend at all, we do offer other API solutions that may fit better.
