Barcode overwriting

I have the square stand and have till and printer connected. I have just added in a barcode reader and connected it. The problem I have is that my products are already on my system with a square generated barcode. Am I able to overwrite that barcode with the manufacturers barcode or have I got to do that manually? I was hoping I could use the scanner to input the number rather than tapping in 13 numbers for each product.

Hello @JanC 

The way we use barcodes is select your item, select the sku field, scan the barcode and it automatically puts the barcode in the SKU field. Simply save and your item has the correct barcode. This should then work when you scan the barcode.
