When I open the app to use the register it keeps displaying a Square advertising page. When I log in, it’s opening and going back to the advertisement.
Having the same issue on all my iOS devices and calling into Square right now. Not a great time for an outage at the start of a busy night.
same, all of our iPads started doing it at exactly the same time.
The Square Registers are continuing to operate without an issue which is our only saving grace right now.
Same issue here. I had to close my business until it is up. Not only can I not take credit cards, but my entire POS won't open or work. Cannot print tickets. All while I am getting notifications from the app literally at the same time notifying me of my rate increase that is an astronomically high increase for a cafe like mine. Kiss my grass square.
Yes, we are completely down here to in central Texas. cannot log into devices using devices codes or credentials. On hold with phone support now. Terrible thing right in the middle of a Friday night.
We need an update from the Square team immediately for a solution please.
All of our Registers logged out and are displaying the login screen, we’ve tried logging in and it either crashes or gives us a black screen. @Howard , what’s up?
We are at the end of our day and we’re able to use a mobile device to run our totals but I’m concerned...

Sincere apologies to our sellers, and their customers, for the disruption on Friday evening. We experienced an unexpected incident that forced some sellers to log out of the Point of Sale app, and prevented them from being able to log back in to take payments.
The incident has been resolved, and our engineers will be investigating the root cause in an effort to prevent the issue from happening in the future. Again, we're truly sorry for the frustration experienced as a result. Thanks for sticking with us.

Same issue here. App is kicking us from sign in, we reinstall app, turn off iPad. Same problem persist.
Yes!!! My iPad will kick me out as soon as I log in. My phone was fine though. Had to Bluetooth my card reader to my phone, then I could do my transaction. Right now my stand is connected, but I have a fully black screen. Tried to call but they’ve got phone issues as well. Not good. I’ll be busy tomorrow and I’m not in. Not sure how my help will deal with no iPad if it hasn’t been fixed.
Yup, same here. It was working fine earlier today up until about 15-20 minutes ago. Looked like we had gotten logged out but when I tried to log back in it would either show an all black screen or kick us out and go back to the advertisement login screen.
Todays update 10-25-19 has my app unable to open. It attempts to load and then crashes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no resolution. HELP I can't take payments!
Same problem here. We can still use the app on an iPhone but neither of our iPads will work on the app.
Same here. Using an iPad with the Square Stand. The Square app allows me to log in, but then kicks me back to the login screen within a few seconds. iOS 10.3.3 Square 5.24

I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the wildfires in CA...not sure where the Square servers are located, but considering the wildfires...
We are completely down in Missouri as well. It lets us log in to the IPads then goes right back to the sign in screen. Called square support and gives a message that phones are down.
YES! We are out of business and yesterday scanners/cash drawers and printers went down in 3 of 4 stores for no known reason. We had to disconnect iPad and they weirdly they work again. I hope this is not how xmas will be . THEN YOU CAN'T CALL EITHER. This is a bad time square.
I am having the same issue, cannot log in from any of my mobile devices using the app. The app logged me out from all devices at about 5:45 central time. I can however log into the web interface.
Square is reporting that it is only people using device codes... but I am not using device codes. In case anybody from support is monitoring this thread.
