Any way to show Custom Attribute on item details when creating an invoice?

We would like to use the Custom Attribute field to show information internally. Is there any way to have this visible upon clicking on the item when creating an invoice? This should only be visible to the person creating the invoice to know the information.

@cchs22 I don't have a straight answer, but I have what I have done for something similar in the past.

One workaround I’ve used: build the internal note into the item name or variation using a quick code or location tag.

i.e., instead of just:
Chicken Salad Sandwich
you could use:
Chicken Salad Sandwich [STN2]
or
Chicken Salad Sandwich (Cold Line - Bin 4)

It’s not the cleanest method, but it shows up when you’re building invoices or checking modifiers—and it helps your team know exactly where it’s coming from or how to prep it, without needing a separate system.

Still holding out hope for true “internal-only” fields unless someone else knows something I don't. Until then… sandwiches with secrets. 🥪😏
