I am using the Square app on my Android phone. I had set it up to use Tap to Pay and taken some payments using this method.
Recently the app is displaying "Tap to Pay issue" at the top of the screen. If I go to Settings->Hardware it shows Tap to Pay as Connected. I tried taking a payment but it wouldn't recognise the credit card. NFC is enabled on the phone.
How to I get the app to work with the phone again?

That does sound odd - I had a look internally and I haven't seen any reports of that specific error message.
What brand and model of phone do you have? If you can in the meantime, try deleting and reinstalling the app.
