Adding a subcategory to Square inventory

Are you able to explain why this isn't a feature and when it will be? Do you know of any other eCommerce platforms where basic sub-categories aren't an option?

While I don't have an explanation as to why this is not a feature or when it may be, if you'd like to let me know how you're looking to use sub-categories I may be able to determine if there are currently any workarounds, as well as pass your user-case on to our product team for consideration.
