We are a firm of Chimney Sweeps taking bookings from a variety of sources. When we do we create a contact in the IOS address book with details such as name, address, phone number etc.
we used to be able to add a customer from address book in Square which obviously imported all the details into the payment app. I don’t seem to be able to find this feature any more and have to retype all the details again.
Has this been removed or am I missing something since the Square App update?

Interestingly you can still add a customer from the address book via the appointments app but not via the standard square app, can this functionality be added back?

I'm going to test this out, but I don't fully understand your process.
Is it that you are creating a Customer Profile in the Directory on the Dashboard, and then when that customer comes to pay via the Point of Sale app, you can't locate them in the app Directory to add them to the sale?

At point of sale you have the option to add a customer. There used to be an option to add this from your address book (which is available using the Appointments app)
This option has been removed from the POS app and been replaced with a manual entry

Are you referring to the Add Customer button that lets you add an existing customer to a sale @bestsweep ?

Yes my settings are correct. There are two different ways of adding a customer, manually in the POS app and this used to be add from address book.
appointments (and invoices) app allow you to add from address book.

You can add a screenshot by clicking on the camera icon in the menu of the reply box @bestsweep. You should also be able to drag the picture from your desktop.
If you're still unable to add the screenshots, could you walk me through the detailed steps of how you add a customer from the address book on the Appointments app ?
By address book, do you mean the customer directory?
Ok I was operating on my phone and the photo option doesnt show.
Using the POS app to add a customer to a sale you get this manual only option
Using either the appointments or the invoices app you can add from address book
This option used to be available on POS until it was replaced with a manual only function in one of the recent updates
I checked with our team, and they've confirmed that the Add from Address Book button will be reintroduced on the POS app with the next update (6.36) @bestsweep.
In the meantime, you should still be able to add customers from your address book when clicking on the icon in red :
