Account Transfer Not Sending Verification Email

I initiated an account transfer.  It said I would receive an email to finish initiating the transfer. I never received an email. yes, I have checked spam. There's an option to 'resend verification email'. I've done this several times and I'm still not getting any email. I called square customer service and no one could help. Has this ever happened to anyone? What can be done?

UPDATE: Still no solution. Via email, square support says the new owner must complete the steps in the email they should have received. However, NEITHER of us have received any emails since starting the transfer process. No email went to me (account owner) and no email went to the new owner.
