ASAP Pick Up Time Error

Why does the system allow ASAP pickup times? 

This has been an on going issue for over a year now and there still doesn’t seem to be an option to disable the ASAP collection tab. 

When a customer chooses the exact collection time, say 5:15pm at checkout the email receipt & live order page will state AFTER 5:15pm but the text alert will state AT 5:15pm — very confusing for both the customer and business operator. 

I don’t need to highlight the problems this can course on a busy evening.

It’s now getting to the point that I’m not willing to waste hot food and deal with frustrated customers on a nightly basis due to this constant issue.

 

If this isnt solved ‘ASAP’ I will have to look at other payment options for my takeaway business.

Hi @notso, thank you for your post. I can appreciate how frustrating this is.

 

Removing the ASAP option is something that have been surfaced to our Product team previously as a feature request. I'll be sure that your feedback is included as well. 

 

While we don't have a way to remove this at the moment, I can definitely see how the copy for the email and the text message can caused confusion. I've escalated this to our ECOM specialist team to see if we can potentially change the copy in the meantime to make it clearer for customers. Once I have more information to share from the team, I'll be sure to follow up on this thread and let you know immediately.
