We ave three locations with exactly the same setup. All are operating on 6th generation iPads.
All locations share the same item catalog yet our largest location is experience a lot of lag and is very, very slow.
Anyone else having this issue?

Hi @WineSneak. Sorry to hear about the issues.
The iPad 6th generation was released in March 2018. It's maximum iOS version is iOS 17, so it is not on the latest version (iOS 18).
We were using the iPad Air 2nd generation (released 2014) until last month, but it too was getting very sluggish (had the same amount of RAM as your iPad 6th generation).
As newer and more powerful iPads come out, I am sure Square adds features to utilize their full capabilities. This is probably what is leading to your devices being sluggish.
We held off purchasing new devices as long as we could, because every dollar counts for us. But at some point we had to speed up the checkout process.
One thing you can try is to do a factory reset of the iPads and see if that helps.

That's a good idea but it didn't work.
But it's weird that our other two locations are not experiencing the same issue.
