While we can speak to specific questions and features regarding the Square Register, we are unfamiliar with any Clover hardware or processes. I do not have any experience with Clover or the Square register so if you are looking for differences between those devices this won't help and I apologize.

However, I was recently courted by a company that uses Clover devices and services.  Be super careful as a bit of research showed this company (not Clover itself but the processor) to be a bit shady.  Complaints on hidden costs, misrepresentation of costs, lack of service were enough to scare me away.

Again - not Clover itself or the devices but the third party processor.
