coursing

I have been trying to set up for my restaurant to have the coursing option on and then set specific categories to automatically drop into the courses set up.  At this stage i only seem to be able to get categories and items set to Straight Fire Section.  It would be nice if Items categorized as Starters go directly to Starters Course, Mains categorized items to Mains Course etc.  Is this function coming?

 

Also i previously used lightspeed and customer tips where much greater at payment and i believe this is due to the customer having to make a selection on its own screen before finalizing payment.  With Square it has the option to the side of the screen and i believe customers are not taking not of the option as much as they did with lightspeed.  Is this a function that can be updated?

@HIDESteakandBar on tips, are you using square register?  There is a beta test to put tips first then payment, right now it you swipe card then hit the tip afterwards.  Did lightspeed have set %? or anything?  Usually we can set it up however we like to get it the same if something works for you.

 

On the coursing, are you wanting certain categories to go to certain stations? or just in the order they show up?

We are using an Ipad and Square Stand as our payment terminal.  Not sure if this Tip solution is possible on this?

 

For coursing i am only able to allocate to "Straight Fire" course that is set up when coursing is activated.  I have since added "Tapas", "Starters", "Mains" and "Desserts" as course options however cannot add categories to any of the later.

With Lightspeed we had option for 5% 10% 20% or custom but this comes after the card was swiped.  We have noted staff tips in the first week down by 80% from what was collected on lightspeed.  I feel this is due to the sequencing of offer to tip.

correction from last post the offer of tip popped up on screen before swipe of card and required a selection to proceed.  It did also have a no tip option.
