Wanting to run up several transactions over a trading period and just take one payment right at the end. Like running a tab

Yes, you can run a tab in Square using the “Open Tickets” feature in Square Point of Sale. This allows you to add multiple transactions to a single ticket over time and then close it out with one payment at the end. 

1. Enable Open Tickets:

   • Open your Square Point of Sale app

   • Go to Settings > Open Tickets

   • Toggle it on

2. Create a Ticket (start the tab):

   • Ring up the first sale

   • Tap “Save Ticket” instead of checking out

   • Give the ticket a name (e.g., customer name or table number)

3. Add to the Ticket Throughout the Day:

   • Open the same ticket and add new items

   • Keep saving until the customer is ready to pay

4. Close the Tab:

   • Go to Tickets

   • Tap the open ticket

   • Tap “Charge” to take payment when ready
