Hi all. I have a bunch of prices that I need to update. If I choose to modify the item library it asks me for description and item name etc. Is there not a way to import a spreadsheet with let's say two columns - SKU and Price and for it to match the price to the SKU that's already in the Square database and update the price if it's changed?
Hey @dunnerak, welcome to Square's Seller Community!
You should be able to bulk edit your item prices by using our Item Import Tool.
You can export your item library to a CSV file, edit the CSV file then re-import your library, so instead of having to click and out of every item, you can simply make changes to your "price" column. Please follow the instructions below to do so:
Hope this helps!
Hey, thanks for your reply. I understand. But if I have 100 prices to update out of 500 items it will take a long time to do. It would just be nice to import say a two column spreadsheet (SKU and Price) and for Square to update the price if it's changed matched to the SKU. Does that make sense? Rather than having to export the whole database, find the individual items where the price has changed, up date them one by one then re-import the database. That seems illogical to me.
This post I created introduces a new method of updating prices which does away with imports altogether.
Thanks
