Willmy current inventory be deleted if I upload a new file?

I currently have my Color Street inventory in my square file but it is missing current sets. Someone already created a new file that has all the color Street inventory including all the new sets, if I upload that file will it overwrite all the current inventory that I have or merge the files and only add the new items.  I have hundreds of sets in there and cannot lose those items

So you already have Items in your Library in Square lets call it 1000 items since you say its Hundreds of Items.

You realized you missed some say 250 items.  Had a File created that now has 1250 items.

If you upload the File that was created a week ago with inventory counts from the original 1000 items, the inventory level from weeks ago would be uploaded and overwrite your current inventory.  But this also depends on the refrence numbers from the inventory you had and the new file that someone sent you.

If you log into your Square account and download your Square catalog as a csv or Excel file you will have a copy of that time frames inventory level.  Call this Catalog A

The 250 items you need Uploaded could be added to the end of Catalog A and then Renamed Uploadwithnewitems.  

The other thing you could do is Copy the 1st row of the CSV / Excel file (the Header row) Paste it in a New CSV or Excel page and then put your new 250 items in that using the Headers as a Template.  If you leve Token and Refrence Handle columns Blank Square treats these as new items.  

When you upload to Square you can upload and Overwrite your current catalog which replaces and deletes your current Square Catalog or you can just upload and edit your current Square file.  The problem is that the file you added New items to might be a few days or longer older.  Which means your inventory levels on your original items May have changed or stayed the same for other items.  

The best thing you could do is Download your Current Square Catalog.

Open it and Save As (new Items).  Delete everything except The header Rows and 1 line of data ( Top Item ) to use this as a Template and then fill in the spread with your items you would like to add.  If the file you created has the items grouped together this is easy to copy them all and paste them into the new sheet.  Then upload the sheet by adding new items to the catalog on upload and do not Overwrite your entire catalog.
