Will 16GB be sufficient to run the square for restaurants app?

I plan to purchase iPads for servers to use table side/placing orders.  I know that I need iOS 11 or higher to run the app but I am unsure if 16GB will be sufficient to support it.  Anyone know?

Are you planning on storing a lot of other apps/photos/music on it though? It should be fine even if so but the apps themselves don't take up too much space. 

My only other concern might be because Apple doesn't make the 16GB iPads anymore, it could become incompatible further down the line. (Not confirmed- but possible)

Plenty... as long as you don't fill it up with other stuff.  I run 2 ipad 16g - no issues.  But the only apps I have are square, google drive, and the default from the factory.
