For example my total cash sales for the business day is $2300.50, however when I add my taxable sales and my nontaxables sales pluse sales tax collected is less than my daily total sales of $2300.50. Most days it's the same then there are days when the amounts are off.
Hey @FayR โ Thanks for reaching out! We're glad to have you in our Community! ๐
Can you share more insight into why you're comparing your Sales Summary report to the Tax Sales report? You can learn more about our reporting here.
Any insight you can provide this seller? @Candlestore @TheRealChipA
I looked at this and would need an image to see which report your looking at so I can check My numbers on the same screen and figure them out. I am not sure which Report and I am wondering if this could be Net sales which would be less because Squares fee could be taken out or if the numbers you looked at before did have Cash and Credit card sales. There should be no fees out of Cash sales though so right now I am only guessing at Ideas without seeing the report and what the report has for titles of the data being reported.
The reports that I am comparing is the "Payment report (cash only) daily total versus the "Sales Tax" report (cash only) daily totals. Some days the Sales Tax total report (taxable sales + non-taxable sales + tax collected) does not add up to the Payment method report for the same day of sales. I did speak with a Square support representative and he stated their was a bug on some days with the calculation of non-taxable sales daily but would average out in the monthly report, of which I have yet to verify.
@FayR ;
Is the the report your looking at? This one is on the dashboard under reports > Payment methods
The 3 areas circled on mine are all the same amounts.
And these amounts for this day equal the amount in my Sales Summary of Total Sales, before Square deducts their fees, which should be $0.00 for cash sales.
Now I am just trying to see which report your reffering to to check my numbers and see if they are off and correct themselves by the end of the month.
Thank you @Candlestore for jumping in to help!
