Now that Weebly is integrated with Square, why aren’t ecards purchased on my Weebly site redeemable on my Square checkout? For example, a customer purchased an e-card on my website. It was automatically sent to her recipient, but that person was unable to redeem it in store via our Square account (we use Appointments for in-store activity). I had to manually enter the payment as “Other,” and then open my Weebly page to manually enter a purchase using the ecard number.
Problem #1:
E-gift cards purchased via my Square POS can only be redeemed via Square checkout (either in person or manually by me)
Problem #2:
E-gift cards purchased on my Weebly website can only be redeemed via the online store on my website (or manually for in-person, using the confusing work around described above).
I do offer a more traditional hard-copy gift Certificate, but that comes with its’ own time-consuming issues, and cannot be redeemed for online purchases.
* Sigh * This time-consuming hassle prevents me from wanting to promote the sale of e-gift Cards and certificate.
Has anyone been able to work around this issue?
P.S. I have hosted my website on Weebly since 2014. I did not flip to a free Square Online website because my site is quite large and I was worried about losing stuff.
