Unauthorized pending transfer

I have noticed an unauthorized pending transfer in my square account. Don't know where it came from the amount is.

Interesting! Is the transfer coming into your account or is it being taken out of your account?

If it's incoming, there are a few things that could generate revenue without showing on the gross sales:

-eGift Card sale. Gift Cards in general don't show on the gross sales on the day the card is activated but you will get your money via transfer. When the card is redeemed, it'll show on your gross sales but you won't see funds transferred

-Deposit or a partial payment of an invoice. These don't post as a gross sale until the invoice is paid in full.

If it's outgoing, I can think of some things as well

-If you have a Square Loan and haven't reached the minimum 60 day payment, Square will automatically deduct the balance

-If you had a chargeback that you lost Square will pull those funds

-The amount seems extreme for this instance, but did you get charged for any addon services? Retail Plus, Team, Messages, Customers, etc?

-Any ACH payments set up?

-Fraud on your Square Card if you have one... usually Square is on top of this one and will send you a confirmation email and lock your card until it's resolved

Do any of these ring a bell? If not, your best bet is to contact customer service. They can dig into your account further than we can on a public forum.

This is a forum mainly for other Square users to help other Square users.  That being said I HIGHLY recommend calling Square support which is in my signature below to find out what this is for or from.  We can not see in your account but Square phone support might be able to give more insight than anyone here.
