I don't understand why, when I am creating an invoice on my laptop I an unable to input the sku. Instead I have to click on the category and scroll down until the I find the sku. I have 100's of items and this is very time consuming. I understand I could have the barcodes printed somewhere and scan those, but again, why? Why can't we just input the sku?

I can definitely see how being able to add SKU information when creating invoices would be helpful, especially for tracking and reporting. I don’t have visibility into upcoming changes for the invoice UI, but this is a great use case to surface to our product team.
I recommend sharing this on our Feature Request board and including as much detail as possible around how you’d use SKUs during invoicing and why it matters for your workflow. That context really helps the team understand the impact.
