We'd like to have a way to accept an order online but essentially put it on hold so we can check inventory and shipping costs. Once that's done, we'd process the card payment for the order. We used to be able to do this through a wordpress woocommerce/square integration, but now we're just using Square online and the options are only to turn ecommerce ON or OFF.
Rather than turning off the e-commerce function completely, are there any suggestions for ways we could still allow people to add items to a wishlist or something similar, that would then be sent to us?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @brightwebs,
Thanks for writing in to the Seller Community! I noticed it's your first post, welcome to our community 👋 🙂
At this time, card pre-authorisation would be a feature request. A workaround that comes to mind is perhaps using a contact form, for customers to fill out before placing an order. This would still require the customer to complete the checkout later, by adding the items to the cart and completing the sale, however. I'll add your vote to this feature request - please let us know if you have any other questions around Square Online.
