We have an old stand and iPad we purchased in 2018 that seems to be starting to show it's age. It has been getting pretty slow recently and the stand is older than even later gen1 stands and won't fit later iPad models. Now before I invest in a new iPad and stand, the current iPads for the gen2 are already out of date as far as iPads go. I want to be sure that this will be future proof for a while, so I want to able at least purchase a m1 or m2 iPad so it won't slow down for a while like my current iPad has. Unfortunately, the gen1 and gen2 stands aren't compatible with these newer iPads. Are there plans for a compatible gen3 in the near future?
