Square Restaurants for Pizza location

Hello, I just started using Square Restaurants at our new Pizza Pub but I'm having an issue getting 1/2 pizza to work correctly without the need to manually add notes to each order. All of my modifiers are working for toppings, add/remove etc., but I don't see how to do the half and half pizza. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there @Jerry1965  since Square added functionality to duplicate modifier sets, this has become much easier. 

First create a modifier set and call it “Side A,” or whatever. Then duplicate it and call that set “Side B.”

 

Add them both to an item called “Half and Half Pizza” and customize them. You should be good to go. 

Of course, from then on your will have to remember to edit both as you modify available toppings. But that’s not as frequent, I would imagine.

Thank you for the input. This poses another question, how do you charge for this? Currently, we charge the highest of the 1/2 but in your scenario, I don't see how that could work.

@Jerry1965 Once you duplicate modifier sets you can change whatever you want for each modifier in that set.

 

So, if I am understanding you correctly, you might need three sets of toppings. One for whole pies at one price point,  and two for half pies at a higher (or lower) price per topping. Once you have duplicated the sets, each can have independent pricing.

 

You decide that pricing and any associated price breaks.
