I have two things that if Square can either add, or if someone knows of a workaround for I would absolutely ADORE, and would make me love Square more than I already do.
1) Layaway. Or a pre-order system. Think like Game Stop, you come in you put $5 down on an item. I then have a record of who wants what items, I also can let people pay off the item over time before it is released. Similarly, a layaway program could do this as well. But I can't figure out a way to do it well in Square. I can do an open ticket, but I can't do a partical payment on an open ticket...
2) Rentals. I run a large library that people can pay to check items out of, they then return them a week later, and pay any and all overdue fees on them as well. I use Square to track the payment, with a secondary software to track the lateness and fees associated with rentals, I'd love a way to combine those into one thing...
Any ideas on how to do these two? Or any idea how to suggest to Square to add these?
