Square Register for Restaurants - How do I select an item, then apply more than one modifer?

Hi!  I want to select an item (e.g. hamburger), then select all the modifiers that apply (e.g. lettuce, tomato, pickle).  However, when hamburger is selected, and I've required at least one modifier, after select one modifer it returns to the main screen.  Then I need to select the item and add the other modifers.  How do you do this without having to go back?  Thank you!

Welcome to The Seller Community! Happy to help. 

Just clarifying, it is only allowing you to select one modifier option to the item. 

Lets edit the modifier set so there are no requirements. 

Go into Dashboard > Items > Select your specific item > Scroll down to Modifier Sets > Customize

Thank you for the response @MayaP !  Actually, I did try this method.

I have 7 modfiers in a category called 'Sandwich Toppings'.  The customized settings are 'None' (required modifiers and maximum modifiers).

When 'Hamburger' is selected from the menu, it simply puts one hamburger into the New Sale section.  Now I must tap 'Hamburger', then tap 'Modify' to get to the modifiers.  I save the changes and the correct order shows in the New Sale section.

What would be nice, is after 'Hamburger' is selected the menu goes directly to the modifiers for selection, THEN it's entered into the new sale section.  But it's not doing this, and I don't think the software is capable, oddly enough.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

I use the iPad, but there is a setting on the items to automatically add to check. Disable that setting and it will ask you for your modifiers.

I just tested on my demo account.  I selected the item and it gave me the modifiers on the right hand side. 

This is not how it is showing on your end @ClermontCo4H?
