I introduced parent categories this week, then when the reporting didn’t turn out as desired, I changed it back.
However, when I enter the sales reports, the incorrect categories are still showing.
is there a glitch with the new update?

Could it be that there were transactions recorded against these categories ? I know with items the 'item' is captured at the time of transaction it terms or reporting. So if you rename categories/items or move items between categories they will still appear in the reporting as that is what they were are the time of transaction.
