I have a zebra zd410 and 411. Can these work for printing label on cups in square for restaurants?
Hello @Akeisha !
I don't believe the zebras are compatible with Square's software unfortunately. You could definitely try to make it work, but it would be unsupported if you ever had to call in for issues.
Square's hardware compatibility page shows 6 printers that are sticky label compatible, all of them are Star printers. That's your best bet for the easiest implementation.
I saw them on the compatible list but im guessing now its for square retail. I guess i may have to switch to square retail. Which will be useless for us or find another pos.
@Akeisha As in the zebra printers are only compatible with retail? That's a possibility. I know the printers in the list I gave you are compatible with the regular point of sale and restaurants though.
Hello @Akeisha 👋
Wondering if this might be the article you found that mentioned the Zebra printers were compatible?
That article does mention label printers compatible with Square for Retail specifically, so even if you switched to Retail, you might not be able to use the printer in the way you intend to.
Unfortunately, as @ryanwanner wisely suggested here, using a printer that's listed as compatible for sticky labels is your best bet.
Thank you!
Hi Akeisha, did you get this working in the Square for Restaurant? I am looking at the same printer (zd410), but am put off since it says only for square retail. Doesn't make sense. Please let me kmow your findings.
