Pre-order group information

We have group bookings for our cafe and we want to allow customers to pre-order their food for dine in. This is similar to the group/cart sharing option that's already available, but instead our customers would like to each pay for their own order individually, but still be part of the same group/booking.

We use table ordering, so I have tried creating a separate ordering station for QR code ordering that is "group orders", but that doesn't work for this scenario because we limit QR code ordering when we're not open, so someone using that link outside of business hours gets "QR code ordering is not available" warning.

I'd like to be able to create a booking/group and be able to send a link out (url parameters?) which means any orders are added to that booking. I don't mind manually managing the kitchen/bar docket printing manually at the appropriate time if necessary.

One way we've tried is to instruct customers to all select the same future fulfilment time when ordering, but that doesn't tie them specifically into one order (even if they follow the instructions properly) nor can they select "dine-in" option, so that isn't reliable and requires lots of manual processing.

I've noticed that QR scans redirect using a url parameter for `location` and `customer_seat_id` is there a similar parameter we can already use to tag/group an specific order?

After reviewing your requirements, I can confirm that this specific functionality isn't currently available with Square. 

Your workaround of having customers select the same future fulfilment time is creative, but I understand why it's not ideal for your situation.

We'd love it if you'd submit this as a Feature Request here.

When submitting your request, I'd recommend:

1. Clearly describing the group pre-ordering functionality you need
2. Explaining how it would benefit your operations
3. Detailing the customer experience you're trying to create
