Open tickets and reporting/activity

Hello,

I am having some severe issues with Open Tickets and visibility for activity on them. I am hoping someone can lead me in the right direction.

The problem I am having is that any team member can add items to an open ticket, even ones they did not start, and then apparently I have no way of seeing this being done. The only activity I can see is who created an open ticket and closed it. What I am seeing is that one of my employees is adding items to other employees' open tickets.

For example, employee A creates an open ticket for employee B to pay later. Then, employee C adds an item (a can of beer) to employee B's open ticket.

There seems to be no way of me seeing that employee C added the item to the open ticket. I am also unable to see a date/time when items are added to any given open ticket which is creating a huge issue for me.

I seem to have some dishonest employees but the lack of activity/reporting makes it incredibly difficult for me to identify who is doing it. I am having to make changes because of this which are unfair to my team members that aren't doing anything dishonest.

Please advise.

@TerrorTacos I can see the problem you are running into with this and this is a use case scenario.  The system wasn't designed to really be used as an "iou" system, although I know myself and many others use these to track sales.  The system is really great, but lacks that ability to track the individual changes to a ticket.

You could send the check to an invoice for your employees and they would have an invoice for each check they owe and then could pay in whatever way they want.  This would eliminate the untrackability of the open ticket and an invoice is still an open amount.  Just have each employee set up they name and e-mail/phone so they are also a customer and attach their name to invoice.
