My invoice shows paid, but the customer told me after his card declined. What should I do?

The customer was nice enough to alert me to his bank declining the charge due to suspected fraud. I know this happens a lot these days. He informed the bank the charge was legit. On my end the next day it is still showing paid. I am not sure if I should hold his product he purchased for a few more days to see if it reverses. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, customer service situations can be so frustrating.  The customer stated the bank was notified, so the bank could have released the funds.  Is the customer a known repeat customer? then process the purchase as good faith.  Is it a smaller amount that you feel comfortable with? then process in good faith.  Is it a larger amount you do not feel comfortable with? then hold a few days.
