Local Pickup For Invoices

I invoice my customers individually. Many are picking up their items locally. I don't see a way to mark an invoice as "picked up" or "delivered" or even "shipped" or anything like that. How do I keep track of what has been fulfilled and what hasn't? I thought about adding a shipping profile called "Local Pickup" and make it free. And that way I could mark it as shipped when it was picked up or ready. But it says I have to enter something more than $0. How can I accomplish this?

Thanks for reaching out! You’re right, Square Invoices doesn’t currently include a built-in status option like “picked up,” “delivered,” or “fulfilled.” However, there are a few ways you can manage this:

 

You can add a note or custom field to each invoice to record fulfillment details (for example, “Picked up on [date]”). This helps you track which orders have been completed at a glance.

 

You’re on the right track! Currently, shipping profiles in Square require a minimum charge greater than $0. To work around that, you can create a “Local Pickup” fulfillment option in your item or order notes instead of as a shipping profile. Alternatively, set a $0.01 shipping cost and then apply a discount of $0.01 to effectively make it free.

 

We really appreciate your feedback, being able to mark orders as fulfilled or picked up would definitely make managing local orders easier.
