Is there any way to get a report on sales in a specific category - even if not a reporting category?

I want to use big categories for reporting...but also see how the sub categories are doing?

At this time I am not sure of a way to do this.  I even tried exporting may transactions csv files and they only show the Reporting Catagory and not the Sub Categories.  Even my Items only show the Main category in the catalog.csv file.

I googled "how to create Sub Categories for Square as a CSV"  Which states you can Have Parent as Clothing and The Sub as Shirts for example.  So in the csv File you would have Clothing>Shirts.  I have both Parent and ChIld categories and when I export my CSV file it only shows the Parent category of Clothing for example.  

So as far as I know there is no way to see a report for sub categories or child categories with Square or even in Excel with a csv export.
