Inactive Items - Inventory Tracking

Hello! I am working on setting up my inventory tracking in the system and have a questions about seasonal/inactive stock items. I have some items that we need to have in inventory but are not currently selling. However, when i remove the item from all locations, it also removes the inventory. Does any have a work around for this that doesn't include adding another location?

I reached out to the Square for Retail Team about this. They let me know that the ability to temporarily archive an item should address this need. Archive functionality will be launching next week! We will likely have a post about that coming to the Seller Community once it has launched but I will keep an eye out so I can provide you the info when it's available 😊
