I have been experiencing and number of customers reporting to me duplicate charges on their credit cards from a single purchase and I don't know why this keeps happening but it's causing me a lot of frustration can someone please help

Does it show up as two different transactions on your dashboard, or just on their credit card statements?
If it's just on their credit card statements, often it's a Pending Charge and then the Real Charge, and the Pending Charge just drops off after a few days or a week. This is typical of any Credit Card Sale & Processor.
If it's showing up as two charges on your Transactions tab on your Dashboard, then there might be something else going on and you'd have to contact Square Support.
