I have two inventory related questions I was hoping to get feedback on.
First, is there a way to set up a control or common item so that sales of any related item will deplete the same inventory? For example, we sell pizzas which are either cheese or pepperoni. Having the two options available for our customers to select is great, but I want to have one control item they will both sell from rather than having a separate inventory for both.
Second, is there a way to set an item to auto restock? We rent radios for our customers to use while they are at our facility. At the end of the day the radios are returned and are available to rent the next day. We currently have to manually restock the number of radios every night to ensure there is a quantity available for the next day. However, we need to track the number available so we don't rent more than we have.

You can use item modifiers to do what you want with your pizzas. You'll create one Pizza item, then create a modifier for each topping choice. Modifiers can also change the price of the item, so each choice can update the cost of the pizza accordingly.
As for automatically restocking an item, I don't think there's a way to do that right now so you'd have to continue manually doing it like you are right now.

I do exactly what Adam said! My first tab is general furniture that's for couches. I'm retail furniture store and on my screen that's how it shows. I also use Google docs and quick books which I can at the end of the day update or enter sectional, color of furniture sold ect. But when we are busy that feature works best for us.
