Ever since the last update came out we have “price 2” under specific items. I realized if I deleted the price and readded it then it changed to “price 3”. When the new font size being soooo incredibly small it’s getting confusing to cashiers to see the quantity they added so close to “price 2”. I don’t want to delete the items completely and remake them because otherwise I won’t be able to compare sales history. Any tips?

A similar issue like this has come up before - see this past Community thread. The "Price #" shows up in the POS item checkout screen too - see screen shot below - I don't think there's anything on your end you can do to fix it. Some of us are still waiting for a fix and/or reason.
Thanks for responding- I am not sure why they added this to the last update. I have no idea who would need to see how many times they changed the price on the check out screen. Hopefully they fix it soon because it is very distracting especially with the new small font size.
If you go to your Square Dashboard - Items or on a POS - MORE- Items and at either of these location Search and edit the Item 10" Easter Lily $17.99 What does it say under Variation? Regular or something else? I am thinking if it shows Regular that is when you get the " Price 2". Just found out when the Items do not have a Variation mine are blank under neathe the Item name, but when a Variation is listed it shows the name of the Variation (2nd Picture 28oz).
On the first picture at the bottom you can see that it put Regular in for the Variation name. I know I had this problem before with Price X showing up but do not know if it was by me changing the Variation names or from an update.
I just checked my current Version and there was another update 12 hours ago to 6.39.3.
I have not had the issue of the "Price 2" as of version 6.38.1
1 stand is updateing from 6.39.1 to 6.39.3 and my other stand is on 6.38.1, since some people complain about Changes from Square I have not updated that one yet to make sure the other is accetable to us. ie Not having something like Price 2 return.
What Version of Square are you using?

I have not been having this problem of Showing "Price #X" on my receipts but I have every item with a name for the Variation.
So if you look into an offending Item that shows 'Price #1', go into that catalogs Item and see if you have a Variation or just "Regular" which is Squares Default. I changed all my Regulars to something else dependent on the Variation. Even if you put the SKU for variation or just a color description. I put in the size of my candle I believe.
Hi Keith- thanks for responding. "price 2" is not printing on the receipts its just on the check out screen. I only have a single price for all items and no variations on the items. I don't even use a SKU for any items. So it must have been something that came out on the last update. I just don't know why anyone would need a reminder under each item on the check out screen how many times the price had been updated. Thanks for trying to help me!
I don't have anything in the variations sections. I checked the versions on my registers and it says "up to do". I have noticed the "price 2" under the items only came out on the latest big update when they changed the text size, fulfillment options on the main screen.
