I've been stuck on this for 3 days so any help would be so appreciated.
Product: Food Box A
Dates available for delivery: Between Aug. 13 to Sept. 22
Pre-order rule: Must order 7 days before desired delivery date
Extra info needed from shopper: Delivery window (2hrs) + delivery instructions
Flat delivery fee: XX
How can I,
1. Allow the customer to still order even if it's past Aug. 13 since there's still enough days for prep even if they want the product in September? I tried it and it will only allow me to set dates before Aug. 13.
2. Allow the customer to select a delivery window of 2 hours on the day they want it delivered? Do I integrate appointments along with this? Can you be so kind as to give me the steps on how to do this? Please 🙂
And if this setup cannot be done, what would you suggest we use to be able to still sell the product, have the client pay the delivery fee, and deliver on the date they want to?
I was thinking of just having the customer finish through the checkout process and just add a note that we'll be in contact with them within 24hrs to setup the delivery appointment manually as we don't want to schedule multiple deliveries on the same date/delivery window if it's not feasible.

Hello @meldanan thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this issue. Can you adjust the cutoff date, and make it Sept. 15 (or whatever your Sept 22 minus 7 day lead time)? or does it stop and limit you to "up to" Aug. 13?
There could be a work around if that doesn't work, but it's cumbersome. You'd have to create separate preorder items each with their own 7-day window from order to delivery. And since you have a wide range of dates you'd be creating a bunch of new duplicate items.

Ordering Past August 13:
To allow orders beyond August 13 with a 7-day prep window, you'll want to adjust your availability settings. Instead of setting August 13 as a cutoff date, make the product available until September 15 (7 days before the final delivery date of Sept. 22). This way, customers can still place orders for September delivery while respecting your lead time. Double-check any pre-order settings or item visibility rules in Square Online to make sure the item remains available for purchase.
Choosing a Delivery Window:
Square currently doesn’t support custom time-slot selection directly through product checkout. While Square Appointments does support time-slot booking, it’s typically tied to services rather than physical product delivery and this would just make more of a headache for you.
You could link a google form on your site to sign up for which delivery window? Just have the customer put in their name and email address so you can line orders up with google forms. Just an idea.

The 'preorder cutoff' so far is the one causing the hiccup.
It will only allow me to enter a date before August 13.
