DoorDash Integration marking items as Alcoholic and Incorrect Sort after Integrating Menu

Just wanted to report a bug. I noticed that when I integrated with the new DoorDash a few items were marked as Alcoholic even though on Square my items were not marked as alcoholic. 

 

I had to delete and re-add them with different names until it was able to get them to stop showing up as checked as Alcoholic on DoorDash. I noticed it only because I was trying to figure out why a few items were not showing up on DoorDash

Solution

I contacted DoorDash and the PoS support team had to manually update my items that were alcoholic to manual override to non alcoholic but it reset itself once and I had to call again. I asked them to ask their engineering team to investigate this bug.

 

I recommend asking them to do the same and if you can tell them to escalate the root cause so we don’t need to waste time to call every time there’s a sync issue. (My case number is753923794 maybe mention to escalate this case to show more people are encountering this bug)

Just another bug is that for some reason my DoorDash Menu items are not in the correct order. It doesn't seem to allow me to sort the menu items (the Channel are sorted)

 

On UberEats everything is in the correct order though

@Summer2024 do you have any updates? I added a 2nd store to DoorDash and it marked the drink as alcoholic again. So I will probably need to go through the whole process of adding and deleting the drinks again with different names

I believe so, looking at my menu the order is still incorrect and there is still the same drink I saw as alcoholic for my new location still marked as alcoholic (even though it isn't)

Hi Summer I'm still encountering issues with this and customers keep asking me about the item that keeps disappearing. Is the engineering team able to take a look? For me its when I have an item called

 

Thai Lemon Tea 👍

 

When I remove the 👍 it seems to be fine. I also have one that is called Yuzu Thai Tea (which has no emoji and this one is automatically marked as alcoholic)

Hi Summer!

 

I was wondering if you got a chance to notify the engineering team? I plan to add my 4 other stores (2 already on it) to the DoorDash integration but this is my biggest complaint with the DoorDash issue.


With the UberEats (it’s with not allowing us to mark items as tax exempt which I made another post)
