Disappearing variations and fixes?

Over the last three days I have been battling variations not coming up when I select a product. I have two iPads that we use in studio as out POS devices. On one of these iPads we are finding that some items are not pulling up the variations and this is making the checkout process longer. The other device is operating as normal and the variations are all there.

The "Skip item details" button is turned off for each item on the dashboard so I am lost in how to proceed.

As I see this is your first post welcome to the Square Sellers Forum.

 

Since you are using the Ipads as your POS machines, and they are acting differently.

1st make sure they are on the same version.

Bottom Right Tap More > Then Tap Support >  Then Tap About    I think the newest version is 6.40.1 but I could be wrong as I am at home with an outdated version now of 6.39.4.

 

The other thing to check is to see if they are both operating with or without the New Cart Experience activated.  This could be giving you different views.  Bottom Right > More > Setting   The Blue slider indicates the New experience is Enabled ( Slid towards the Right) and when it is Grey it is Off (Towards Left).

 

I also have an Information Bloc stating that some of my settings are assigned to the "Mobile Ipad" profile.  This is what I assigne the Ipad I have at home compared to the settings I have at my physical store.   Says to make updates to this Profile on Square's Dashboard.  So I am not sure if you have different profiles for your two Ipads that you would need to check on the Dashboard too.
