Constantly have to reboot when logging into a location for updates

I am not sure what the deal is on the Register...it has OS 5.45.0087 and App version 6.39.1

 

When ever I log OUT of a location and back into that location I keep getting this prompt that a reboot is needed....when it reboots the new UI is there...until I log out and back in again.  Why on earth is this not "sticking" to the location?!  This is so annoying that I keep having to reboot everyone I log into the location after logging out...it's silly.  Everything is up to date but this is very repeatable just by logging out and logging back into the same location.  No idea how rebooting after being logged in makes it rught until you log out again,.. so frustrating.

Not sure if your issue got fixed or not but I just saw that Square has released 6.39.3 update.... maybe that will fix issue your haing with 6.39.1?   We do not usually logout of our POS apps and just signout by user for Time tracking, so I have not had the issue your having and not sure I want to test this on my POS machine.   Hope you get this solved.

I can try the update tomorrow, but yes literally every time we log out from one location into another in the food truck we then have to restart to get the new UI...it's silly...

 

If we don't log out from a location it's fine but it makes ZERO sense....just another step that's not needed every other day.

Hi @CColotti - Thanks for raising this issue.

As @Candlestore suggested, it would be best to make sure your Square Register is on the latest version of software to eliminate any errors that could be caused by an outdated version. As of today, 4/2, the latest version is 6.40.

 

Please let me know if you are still experiencing this issue after installing the update.
