We have an issue where bar tabs, reopen after being closed. It happens a couple times a night and I can't figure out why? Bartender closes a check (seems to only happen to credit card payments) then a few minutes later the check has reappeared as an open tab with no payment? When I look in the transactions they payment is their and correct? Anyone have this problem and if so know how to stop it. Really not good

Sometimes these duplicate checks can occur when a check is open on multiple devices simultaneously, and is then updated or closed on one of them.
For instance, if an employee opens a check on one device, forgets to log out, then closes the check on another device, the check on the first device may remain open and therefore create a duplicate.
In order to prevent this issue, first check your router and wifi connectivity. A poor network connection can cause slower syncing across your devices.
You’ll also want to make sure your employees log out of the app after each use to prevent checks from remaining open on multiple devices at once.

He doesn't use other terminals as he's behind the bar, network is fast and working well. Will see if checks are the specific checks are left open for a while but bartender is the only one that uses the terminal so they wouldn't be open on another terminal. We even switched out hardware to see if it has something to do with the ipad but still happens. We noticed that if you have a check open add to it and take payment that also seems to have a higher rate of duplicates. You have to send, reopen then charge that seems to have lessened it happening but not eliminated it.
Have you ever heard anything else about this? we are experiencing this exact issue and only have one pos device and a single user logged in, also a bartender. It's even more problematic because when the check reappears there are random new items added to the check that were not there before and never have been added to that check. So far we have just been voiding the duplicate check as entry error, however I am concerned this could be a major issue if it keeps occuring.
No just what you saw above, it still happens but we have also found if you log out more often it seems less, also need to send before running payment. What I mean is if a guest has a tab and says I will take one more and close me out you need to add whatever item and send it. Then reopen the tab and take payment it seems to happen more when items are added to a check and they payment is taken immediately. But we are just used to it at this point (which Sucks) but it happens at least once a day or more it seems and doesn't matter cash or credit that we can tell. We have swapped ipads etc nothing seems to make a difference.
