Can i do a percentage discount for entire sale?

HI all, I have been reading all the resources to create a discount, which i have. It is a 10% discount for our club members. what i am trying to do is see if i can apply the discount to the entire sale? So far all i have been able to work out is that i need to select each individual item and apply the discount. Its basically about a 4 step process for each item. Does anyone know if this can be done please

Hi Sandbar,

We use Square for Restaurants and I can answer this for you if you are using the same.  POS might be similar (I don't know as we use Restaurants).

In the dashboard go to ITEMS menu and then DISCOUNTS.  Then click on CREATE a DISCOUNT in the top right corner (blue button).  You can then set up a discount for the entire order by following through the options.  We leave the discount amount blank so that we can input it at the time of sale - say 5% for some people and 10% for others, but you can fill in a fixed amount in the setup if your discount is always the same amount.  You can set up $ discount and % discount as separate discount items.

On your Register enter the customer order as usual, then click on ACTIONS at the bottom and select the DISCOUNTS button on the screen that opens.  You new discount items should be in there and will apply to the entire order.
