Assigned team member and name on receipt

We are using Square for Restaurants and looking to have a hostess station for checking out guests. The problem we are facing is that the name on the receipt after paying changes from the assigned team member that waited on the table to the hostesses name that checks them out.

 

If we print the bill before paying it displays the correct and originally assigned team member's name. The name only changes after paying and printing the receipt. 

 

Is there any way to keep the original assigned team member name on the printed receipt after paying while allowing another team member to close the check?

@50sdiner, I appreciate your patience, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay.

 

I have confirmed that the ticket should stay assigned to the original employee, not the one who closed out the ticket.

 

In case the ticket is being reassigned to the host who is closing the check, you can reassign the ticket within the transaction details after the payment is completed.

 

Please be aware that there is a limited window of around 5 minutes to reassign the ticket after the transaction is closed. After this time frame, the option to reassign the ticket will no longer be available.

If you continue to experience this issue, please provide us with a screenshot of your transaction receipt with details so that we can further investigate.
