How can I charge for shipping without it being treated as an items eligible for points in the loyalty program and as revenue?
Unfortunately this isn't really a workaround if you are using the "By Amount Spent" rewards program.
You could consider using the "By Item or Category." This allows you to choose exactly what items or categories offer rewards.
Just chiming in to say we would also like the ability to make shipping charges ineligible for loyalty rewards.
We set up our square loyalty "By Amount Spent" and noticed customers are earning points for shipping charges after the fact. We already offer customers a discounted shipping rate and pay a portion of those costs 'out-of-pocket' to keep shipping fees reasonable. Allowing customers to earn points on these charges and redeem them against shipping adds to our out-of-pocket shipping expense.
Having the option to turn this off would be appreciated so we can best customize the program to our needs.
Just added loyalty and quickly saw that points are being awarded on shipping. Have you received any solutions for this?
I'm not aware of any solutions at this time.
