sales tax settings sync from POS to online

Hi, I’m setting up Square for a restaurant in California. Everything is working fine except for the sales tax configuration on online pickup orders.

I’ve set up one sales tax and created an exemption list for TO GO orders. I’d like the same exemption list to also apply to all online pickup orders. However, the exemption is not being applied—tax is still getting charged on all online pickup orders, including those that should be exempt.

I also tried configuring the Square Online delivery and pickup tax overrides, and selected “Apply default rates for pickup sales tax”, but the issue persists.

Has anyone faced this before or know how I can fix it?

I have NOT seen this, but what are describing sounds like a bug.   Have you contacted Tech Support???

 

I've tried to think of ways to circumvent your issue, such as duplicating some menu items and setting them to non-tax, but that would be a lot of work. 

 

Anyone else?
