Is the above a primary or secondary button ? I wanted to find out if when I am due to upgrade to plus from my professional plan if this button will become editable ? thanks
Hi @OTCF - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋😊
I'm not quite sure what is meant by "primary or secondary button" but those are the options for the customer to select the fulfillment. It's part of the Item layout that you have enabled.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
In the new square plus account option you have the ability to change the primary and secondary buttons appearance, colour, style.
so the question still remains if this button is a primary or a secondary button or neither 🤷♀️
Hi @OTCF - the fulfilment setting that you are indicating isn't included in this upgrade, the badges included for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary are as follows:
has a sale price
has an inventory count of your specified quantity or less
is sold out
is available for preorder
is discounted.
More info on this here.
Here's a (not great) example of how the editor looks on my site:
Hi @Breffni
many thanks for your reply, that is such a shame as the most confusing part for our customers is whether an order is shipping or pickup and there is no way to distinguish those buttons so they kind of blend in with the rest of the page. (most people just don't read)
There isn't even a way to make them choose between the services when they access your page as your have to have a default method within the system so your not able to get them to at least click on one option so they would be fully aware of there service options. Unless i'm missing something ?
I get a lot of people who purchase and did not realise it was collection and want delivery so I then have to mess around and invoice separately which cost me a lot of "extra admin" and extra charges for taking a invoice payment for delivery charges.
Is there anyway to take that default method out of the equasion ?
Many thanks 🙂
Hi @Breffni
Is there anyway to make a customer have to press that button without it being auto selected ? So they are fully aware it is an item that is for pickup only! Im getting really frustrated with constantly having to refund people cause they think it is for shipping and losing the fees having to refund when its only available for collection/pickup.
As per my last reply how can I make that button not be auto filled and make it selectable ? thanks
