My business is a bakery and we deliver school lunches to our local school. Im setting up Square Online to access orders without parents having to come in store or call and trying to work out:
I've had a search for previous threads on this but cant find anything that does exactly this. Anyone done it?

Yes, you can accept orders anytime, but specify your delivery window and also allow scheduled deliveries so customers can choose a date up to 90 days in the future.
To set up scheduled deliveries, and delivery times:
1. Go to your Square Online Overview Page > Fulfillment > Pick up & Delivery.
2. Select Click Set up location > turn Enable Delivery on > Continue.
3. Select your delivery days and hours, and enable order scheduling from here. You'll also be able to set minimum order amounts, and more from here.
4. Click Done to Save.

Hi - yes this has worked for me, thank you.
However I cant schedule delivery for the next day. It Thursday now, I've set my deliveries to M-F and then next available day is Monday, not tomorrow (Friday). Why would that be?
@BakerST it sounds like your prep time may be pushing the next available delivery window out - are you able to let us know what this is currently set to?
A quicker option to work things out here might be getting in touch with our support team, they have the ability to go into your account and actually see how everything is set up and try to identify what may be causing the issue you're seeing! You can call our support team on 1800 760 137. Lines are open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Melbourne time.

Today, it still shows next available as Monday.

Another suggestion is the ability to add Custom Fields to the order page and checkout page. As in my instance, the customer (the parent) may not be the person that accept the order (the student).

Hmmm - to be honest I am a bit stumped here @BakerST! I would definitely call support here, they will be able to take a look into your account and how it's been set up, which is something we're not able to do via our public community forum! One shot in the dark from my side would be to also check your delivery hours and make sure it's set for delivery on the right days - you can set different delivery hours compared to normal opening hours.
For custom fields on checkout, please add your request and any specific use cases for your business via this thread - tracking feature requests in the one place helps us gauge overall demand for potential new features, and examples helps our product teams understand how new features would benefit Square sellers 🙂

I've been playing around with my settings again today. I did only have a delivery window of 5 mins (as we only do 1 delivery each day at school lunch time). I've found that increasing delivery time to 1 hour and reducing prep time to 30 mins, I've been able to open up next day orders. So I worked it out. 🙂
