online and brick mortar stores

How do I separate my online store items for sale from the ones in my brick and mortar store.  I do not want the same offerings available at both.

Hello @kat53 !

The Square Online store allows you to only have specific items from your inventory available. For each item in the store you can enable or disable the visibility. By default, all new items are imported to the store as Unavailable. You can go in and configure what you need and don't need visible.

However, this means that all the items are visible from your brick and mortar. Even if you create specific categories in your Square dashboard (not online store categories), you and your employees will still be able to access the items via the point of sale.

The only way around that would be to create a new location from your Square Dashboard . (Account & Settings -> Business -> Locations) You could set the new location up as identical as your brick and mortar, and tell the Square Online store that the new location is the one that's visible on the web. Each location can have specific items, so you could then make items available and visible per location.

Hope this helps!
